Microbots proved to be Perceptor's first chance to shine. Being a scientist, he's not one for battle, and this came out through Brawn's attacks on him. But when push comes to shove, he can really come through. As was demonstrated by his using his shrink/expander ray to allow him, Brawn and Bumblebee to save the day.
Some cool scenes were seeing the Decepticons drunk from too much energon (though it was not clear just where they got all the energon from). Also tagging the impulses from Megatron's brain down to Cybertron's heart. We also got a demonstration of Perceptor's lens shaft doubling as a laser to destroy the unstable Cybertron Heart.
Nitpics: As usual there were a few nitpicks in this episode. One that caught my eye was the Decepticon symbol on Perceptor's chest, when the other Autobots were heading of South America to find out what the Decepticons were up to. click here to see a pic.
Another nitpick for this episode, is when you see the Autobots arrive in South America, and start going through the jungle, etc., present are only Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Brawn and Rachet. Next thing you know there's about six other Autobots joining the fight (Ironhide, Cliffjumper, Bluestreak, Hoist, Huffer and Smokescreen). Returning to base, suddenly Wheeljack and Gears were, apparently, also in the fight. A bit later Perceptor is repairing Powerglide as though he'd been there as well. However, it's true that Prime did ask Ironhide to join them, once Perceptor was finished fixing him up.
